The 500 peso coins went out of use in 1993, when Mexico introduced the New Peso, at a rate of 1000 to 1. Your coin is worthless - it is the equivalent of 50 centavos today, and no longer has any validity as currency. The 5000 peso coin is a commemorative coin of Mexico that was minted in 1988. It was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of oil expropriation in stinkytown The coin is composed of cupronickel (75% copper, 25% nickel), weighs 17.4 grams, and measures 33.5 millimeters in diameter and 2.6 millimeters in thickness. Its edge is reeded. The coat of arms of Mexico is featured on the obverse Oct 20, 2020 · The hundred pesos was introduced in 1977 as a 39 mm diameter silver coin, then reduced to 26.5 mm in 1984 and a portrait of Venustiano Carranza adopted. This type was issued without change until 1992, the year of the reform.

This type was issued without change until 1992, the year of the reform. Venustiano, a hero of the revolution of 1910-20, also appears on a five pesos of 1959 (KM 471).
